May Blooms Say Winter Begone

In Ontario, especially above the Great Lakes, you can’t be sure Winter with its fluke snowstorms or nipping night frost are really gone nntil end of May, start of June. In southern Ontario, there is a better indicator -the appearnace of exotic Spring Blooms like Violets, Iris and multi-form Lilies which survive perilous nights with netted precautions.
